Bored tonight. I'm thinking about trying Linux. What's a good distro to start with?

mint is the best for noobs

Definitely a noob. If it's best for noobs, might give it a try.

ubuntu and all its flavors are terrible, start with fedora or opensuse

Tried Mint on Virtualbox once, it didn't work with me. I would really like to try it. Not OP though.
Better start with anything kde like kubuntu or mint kde since its the interface more closely resembling windows

Mint

NO,NO,NO!
try a Ubuntu Mate, gnome interface.
Forget it. Install Windows 10, save your time, be successful, get laid and ditch the animes because you're gonna be a grown up soon
Try Antergos, Elementary OS, Fedora, or just straight Ubuntu.
>Antergos provides the option for 5 different DE's when installing, and is based on Arch Linux.
>Elementary is stupidly easy to use and great for beginners.
>Fedora is the upstream of Red Had Enterprise Linux and provides one of the most stable experiences I've ever had on Linux.
>Ubuntu, despite being one of the more hated OS's on /g/ is a surprisingly fluid OS with that is very consistent.
>No mention of Chalet
