Okay, is there a good music player/library manager for linux?
Back on Windows I used MusicBee and later on Foobar.
>inb4 boku no music player
mpd + ncmpcpp
Using clementine at the moment, it seems to be the only one without an abysmally designed or needlessly minimalistic interface

Go back to windows

get a macbook and use iTunes senpai
mpd + ncmpcpp
There is no other correct awnser.
However if your totally Phisically and mentally retarded you can use amarok.
Literally nothing.
There's a few old as fuck abandoned projects like xmms or audacious you can use. The rest are ironic hipster shit like ncmpcpp or mocp.
Welcome to Linux, enjoy your stay.

cmus, the only true god.
Rythmbox is the best one

This.

Are you serious?

I use cmus and a dropdown terminal.
For managing the music I use the filesystem and kid for tagging
I use gmusicbrowser and it's pretty nice once you customize it to your preferences. Horrible OOTB though.

mocp is pretty neat too

I don't know Anon, are you serious?
I know its fun to pretend to be a hacker with text UIs but they're godawful for multimedia purposes. That is just not what they're there for
mpd + cantata is it for me. The latest git fixes many issues and even supports faggotOSRetina.
Never use a musicplayer without ratings and dynamic playlists.

Then still use MPD and use 1 of the large amount of GUI MPD frontends.

a good tui will always be better than a good gui
I'd recommend "Quod Libet".
it has good music management, it's not too heavy, nice plugin support (can be controlled via mpc & co.), you can view your music different interfaces (playlist, album, filesystem, etc.) and nice nice internet radio support and discovery.
The only problem I see is (IMO) that it's written in python and gtk3+, so it's slightly slugish on startup, but on the other hand, it took me a white to realize, so it's not even that bad.
Would recommend checking it out.
I use folders to organize it and mplayer for playback
>>51882008
holy shit, that actually looks like a decent one
thanks, based anon

Deadbeef is quite good too. Used it for years with no problems.
beets for tagging/library management and mpd for playback. I use a client that I wrote myself. ncmpcpp is good too.
I also use this on windows.
Groove music.
It's fast, minimalist, and integrated to the shell.
Oh wait, you're running lolcocks.
