wasn't chocolate, chocolatey or something like that ? A complete garbage that manages packages, but was instead a fucking installer for programs.

>pacman
That's just a simple game in my distro :^)
>>

It was advertised before the win10 launch
Newer heard any news about it after that
Just like Edge is the best browser but STILL lacks tons of essential features even IE had since 1996

why not just pacman -Syu
Thats what ive been using

>>
alias Syu="yaourt -Syua --noconfirm && sudo pacdiff"

why?
updates aur packages
no confim means its not pain in the ass and through out my use of arch there was only one case where I needed some more control
noobs will never pacdiff and will eventually fuck up the system with some old config file

nice bait

Well deserved.
Now go back to Windows and you won't have to deal with lincuck ever again
>>

that's fine, just copy from your backups and be more careful next time

nope, win10 is botnet and there is literally no reason to use windows other than games

Fedora is the final solution

ubuntu>Fedora>debian>gentoo>arch>windows

I still can't see the point of using arch and I say that in the best way

Seems like "the arch way" just makes everything more complicated that it actuallly is. I've been using antergos for one year and it works perfecly. want to see a video? go to the add/remove software app and install mpv, vlc etc... Need a web browser? install it form the same app. What's the point of using yaourt and the AUR (I admit it's useful sometimes) when sometimes it takes ages to build the packages why to invest more time in somethig you can easily do in other distros some of them even Arch- based.

It takes less time to do it in the command line if you know what you are doing than even a expert can do with the mouse.

fedora is literally the most shitty distro in the history of ever. Fucking MANDRIVA was more decent.

You think about that.

Pacman is literally the easiest package manager to use

yaourt is shit anyway, cower master race
>>
>>51883858
What exactly is "shit" about yaourt? Genuinely curious, I see people make that claim all the time on /g/. I've been using yaourt for years now and have never had any problems with it. I tried out a few other AUR helpers (cower included) and just didn't see much difference between any of them, it seems like they've all got about the same syntax and functionality.
>>

> when sometimes it takes ages to build the packages

Only installed it like 5 days ago, but have not had this yet. Gave it a try because my laptop couldn't really keep up with modern ubuntu and I didn't use most gnome stuff anyway.
Just pacman'd firefox/vim/texlive/cmus/wifiman/lightdm and i3, no problems at all.
Wanted i3-gaps so I just yaourt'd it. That may be the point of the AUR, not sure.

Not trying to be the arch apologist but so far I haven't really big drawbacks
