Daily reminder that building your own computer is:
Stupid.
More expensive.
More time consuming than ordering/purchasing a pre-built computer.
>2015
>Still wasting time and money building a computer
It's no longer 2009. Get with the times, the free market has made prebuilts super-competitive with "HURR BULD UR OWN COMPUTA FGT GET REKT NIGGR" to the point where you'll get a MUCH better deal on a prebuilt.
>Pre-Bbuilts work out of the box.
>Custom built computers have to be assembled.
>Don't have to worry about fucking anything up in pre-built.
>One mistake and you could fuck up a $300/$500 cpu and can't do shit about it; that's not even mentioning ESD which can fuck up the majority of computer parts.
>Warranties for entire pre-built machines can last upwards of 2 years.
>If something breaks in a custom build, you have to identify the individual manufacturer, find how long the warranty lasts (and most of the time it's either 6 months or at MOST a year for lesser-important parts)
In this day and age pre-built computers are the same price if not cheaper than custom built computers.
Eat shit neckbeards. inb4 butthurt /g/aytard ass frustration

>Not learning how to bundle like a mofo.
Amyerikans
I don't see the point of this bait.
>having two left hands
You're just fucking jell-o becuz you couldn't fit a square peg into a square hole as a child and now you can't assemble a fucking computer which is something only a retard could screw up
LITERALLY FOX AND GRAPES
You canNOT make this shit up
BOTATO <3
>>51864824
The only good prebuilts are workstations anymore.
If you're a poorfag and/or autist that doesn't want to buy lightly used, well maintained corporate surplus, building is probably the better option
>>51864824
I've built my desktop myself and the warranty of each part was at least 3 years.
Comprable pre builds costed around $1000 more and this was during this summer.
What are the best used prebuilts i could get for a reasonable price?
Preferably something with a gpu that would work okay under linux.
>>51864824
I bought some HP prebuilt with a 980 and a 5820k for like $1100. I can't believe people in this board still circlejerk over being able to connect lego pieces together like it means anything.

Intel NUC

>>that's not even mentioning ESD which can fuck up the majority of computer parts.
>I'm too retarded to touch a metallic part
>>51864824
>Gigabyte motherboard not some Asrock or Foxconn $20 shit
>a fucking 650W PSU for nothing
>$125 dollars for RAM. What?
>Windows 8
I fell for the bait guise :(.
I used to build my computer all the time and the last time was when I had to put up with this faggot (pic related)
The screws were too fat for the mount and I literally had to put the screws in the freezer and warm the mount with hair dryer, and it was still quite hard to screw.
Then the fan couldn't grip the metalic part and just slided off of it (whoever thought of this mechanism should just fucking hang himself)
I had to unscrew the clips and screw them again so that they bended a fraction of a millimeter so it could grip.
I literally wasted 3 hours trying to install this thing just because some nigger thought this bullshit edgy gayman design.
And I don't plan wasting my time like that ever again.

>he can't even install a hyper 212 Evo
Maybe you need to be doing something simpler, anon.
>>51864824
>More expensive
Hey you've almost got this down?!
pretentious fuck
>>51865175
get a load of this faggot
>>51865175
>having a gaming build
>complain about time wasting
>>51865175
I never had build a pc in my life and the first one I did was with your pic related. Pretty simple and easy to install, maybe you got a mobo that wasn't specifically designed for it?
>>51865175
Then just use the stock cooler????
>>51865175
>putting your screws in the freezes
i seriously hope you guys dont do this
Your opinion has been duly noted and subsequently ignored
>>51865175
>Took 3 hours to install a cooler
>"I-It's their fault"
Jesus, I had the same cooler when I built my first gaymen PC almost five years ago.
It literally took me like 30 min to install the cooler. How retarded are you kid?
>>51864824
Post this to a pc support forum to actually fuck people over
>>51865464
>30 minutes
I installed mine in 10 minutes. What's taking you so long?
>>51865504
>First time building a PC
Did you miss that part?
>>51865572
It was my first time too
Dis is more bait than a child in a catholic church.
> Building is fun. Am I the only one who just enjoys building functioning tech?
>>51864824
I hope you didn't spend too much time working on this epic ruse cuz it fucking sucks.
>>51864824
Here's your (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you) (you).

JANITORS FUCKING WHERE
> Try to buy a prebuilt in mexico
> PCs labeled as "gamer" have integrated graphics
> Anything with a graphics card made this decade is 850+ bucks
Just build the wall already. There is nothing good here.

>>51865896
Nope. It was a 980.
>>51865613
Well good for you dude you're entitled to feel superior over me.
>>51865918
Yeah, OK.
Before I believe you, post:
>computer model number
>photo of computer
>speccy
Until you do, I'm certain this is BS.
>>51865175
>he couldn't install the Hyper 212 Evo
>>51864824
prebuilts always come with, slow hdd's, chinese PSU and if you buy from companies like dell you get a proprietary mainboard, which is not meant to upgrade and drops support as soon as you own it
>>51864824
>geforce 650
