Are you using a prebuilt?
Yeah, it's a laptop
No, I'm not a child.

Yes I'm using an Intel NUC.
Are you fucking casual?
1.) Yes -----> Yes
2 .) No -----> No
No because I got more for my money when I built mine my myself like a normal human being
I prebuilt it before I started using it.
Prebuilt, but I replaced the graphics card, PSU, and added 16 GiB of RAM
building a computer isn't even hard, I know very unintelligible people who've built one themselves and don't know a thing about the specifications or how the hardware actually functions. The reason people usually purchase pre-built computers is either because they're too lazy to learn or too lazy to build.
Started out with a prebuilt, but over time replaced everything but the hard drive.

Yes, I am using a laptop at this moment.

Do you know what website you are browsing right now? This isn't normie country, anon

What graphics card? I put a 750 Ti in an off the shelf computer and it ran pretty good considering. I don't imagine that's what you got considering it only needs a 300W power supply and I believe most pre-builts would come with that that.
A refurbished thinkcentre. It's the only good pre-built.

R9 280X. Got a 700W power supply for it. I realize it's probably a little overkill but I want to be set for a while
>>51863742
>TDP: 250 W
WUT
>>51863742
No power supply is overkill for AMD.
>>51863635
Same
>>51863758
I remember reading somewhere that the recommended PSU for the 280X was actually 700W. I was actually worried it wouldn't be enough
>>51863526
>prebuilt
No, I'm not a degenerate.
Being a casual or not into computers at all isn't even excuse anymore as there are many possibilities to let someone build you a decent one. Most likely even a shitty custom built PC will be better than any prebuilt ever.

Those manufacturer ratings are pure insanity. Recommended PSU wattage for my 290 is something like 750W, but even under 100% CPU and GPU load, with both of them overclocked, it won't pull more than 550W from the wall on an older 80+ unit. Not 80+ gold, silver or even bronze, just 80+.
>>51863810
Unless you put in crazy stuff, SLI or whatever in your PC you will be good with 500-550W.
>>51863849
Yeah 750 that's what mine was too.
I've never ever come anywhere close with a 700W power supply, but hey at least when I finally upgrade my CPU I'll be set
I actually originally posted here on /g/ when I realized that I bought a 700W instead of 750W since I thought it wasn't going to be enough

Desktop no.
Laptop and HTPC yes (chinkpad and roku box).
