Apparently, the NYTimes article published today on pg1 of the business section said that VR has no "raison d'etre" or raisin to be because whenever you ask even a head of any of these VR companies coming up what their killer VR app is they got nothing. Discuss.

Well I don't use it, but actually I know a guy who does and afaik all he uses it for is to watch movies while commuting a long way and when the tv is otherwise in use.

There's tons of cool stuff non-gamers can use VR for. It's a whole new medium that can be used for a lot of different things, not just gaming. Storytelling like movies for example. Normies, like everyone, love movies, and VR can take that one step further.
