That aside 4k has the distinct advantage compared to QuadHD that it can upscale FullHD content very well. And the difference between 4k and FullHD is definitely noticeable

Cause your eyes are like 10cm of the screen with binocular. Honestly even an 8k screen with VR is not "perfect". Some painfully expensive big hardware budget are expected in the next 5 years. (Video cards with 16gb RAM, 64Gb RAM...)
