intel pentium g3258
gtx 750
16gigs ram
1tb of hdd storage
240gb 850 evo ssd
its alright.
>>51852468
>16gigs ram
Why?
>>51852468
>pentium
>16gb ram
>>51852542
its a budget gaming rig pentium is great for overclocking.
>>51852468
pentium at 4.5ghz... wat?
>>51852599
i really doubt a pentium can make use of 16 gigs.
>>51852654
the 16 is overkill
>>51852654
because I dont want to upgrade my processor in the future. Right?
i have a athlon 860k what card do you think would complement it well, i was thinking 270x ?
i5 4690k at 4.4Ghz
EVGA GTX 980 ti Hybrid
8Gb Corsair Vengeance ram
120Gb Samsung 850 Evo
1Tb Samsung 850 Evo (thought I was going to get a big HDD but SSDs kick ass)
Is the i5 bottlenecking my GPU at all? I get 60-61 fps in Valley Benchmark at 2k with all settings maxed. How much more worth it is the 17 4790k?
>>51852823
your cpu is fine
3770K
Radeon 7950 HD
16 gigs ram
5 TB + 1 TB HDD
128 GB SSD
Its betty gud. Not the best, but good for what I need, watching anime.
>>51852823
do it, if you have a microcenter ots 250$ rite now
>>51852853
pcs related
also Samsung 850 pro ssd.
>>51852654
ark says it can use up to 32gigs
>>51852870
pcie or sata?
>>51852911
Sata with rapid mode enabled(samsung magician).
>>51852870
fuck me thats fast
>>51852944
how do enable rapid mode?
im using an msata drive same model tho
>>51852967
Download the magician and try it. I don't know about any other model.
>>51852599
>pentium is great for overclocking
You suck dick with that mouth?
Only loaded the OS yesterday so nothings on it yet
>>51852870
>>51852944
>transfer speeds faster than the interface is capable of
I don't know how rapid mode works but I'm guessing it's just a RAM cache. Pretty sure the OS essentially does the same thing already so seems pointless, other than for inflating benchmark scores.
>>51852852
>>51852860
guise pls
but thanks, I'll keep my i5
>>51852599
>two 980ti
it's ok i guess
i regret not saving money for real shit
>>51853129
>but I'm guessing it's just a RAM cache.
Yep, it is.
>Pretty sure the OS essentially does the same thing already so seems pointless
afaik rapid mode does it differently, it supposedly uses RAM in the same way as a hybrid SSHD uses its SSD part, and loads the things it's caching into RAM after boot
>>51853310
It does overclock well. I got mine at 4.5ghz, its base normal speed is 3.2... So whats the deal?
>>51853501
but is the speed boost noticable? like enough to sacrifice a whole gig of dram?
>>51852468
dell precision m4600
>>51852487
>why?
>>51853975
I had it enabled on my 850 EVO for a short while, and Photoshop seemed to load a little faster after opening and closing it a few times than it does without rapid mode, I think it might have cached more of the program than Windows normally would. Could also be placebo, I'm not really sure.
Whether it's worth sacrificing a whole gig of RAM for, I dunno, depends on how much RAM you use otherwise I guess. I disabled it again because I don't see much point in only caching 1 GB, I'd probably use it if the software would let me step it up to 4 or 8 GB.
Having my most used software get loaded into RAM automagically as soon as my OS is done booting would be nice, since I have more than enough RAM to accomplish this. 1 GB isn't enough for it, though. I guess I could figure out some kind of RAMdisk, but that seems like a little too much.
>>51854113
I love people who simply cant afford Alot of ram default to trying to make it seem like a stupid idea
>>51854191
4790k
G3258 OCed to 4.3ghz
R9 380
8GB Ram
240GB SSD
1TB HDD
Gonna upgrade the CPU to an i5 when I get some more cash.
>>51852724
Buy an Nvidia with a shitty CPU. That's literally the only situation where that makes sense.
