WIll buying new HDD affect gaming and minimizing slow gaming/low fps/shuttering ( dont know if these are the same or if im shuttering with bad fps)
Also should I buy an SSD instead of HDD? Do you just replace your old HDD and put in an SDD instead or is there a special input for SSDs?

What's with all the god damn fagotry in this thread? OP, get a SSD. A 256GB will be fine in most cases. Install your OS and games to the SSD, store all your other shit on the old HD. It won't make a HUGE difference in your fps unless you've been noticing your HD grinding a lot during gameplay, but it will make a big difference in load times. And all this shit is SATA so you shouldn't have any problem there.

But at least a 256GB SSD for Windows and Programs only, and then get a 1TB+ HDD for your Steam collection. Computer will be happy and you will be happy.
