I had Pantech PG3600 as my first phone.
It was a piece of shit. Laggy, quiet speaker, can't install games. But hell, I was looking a lot more stylish with it compared to my fellow schoolkids with old Nokias and Sony Ericssons.

It was supposed to be samsungs answser to the Razr. It was built really well too, WAY better than a razr. The problem(atleast with his version. CDMA one) was it was built around being a decent music player, with the track buttons on the front. Thing is, it only had like 46megs of memory AND it used a non-standard audio port... If it has a TF and 3.5mm jack(and was 3G) i would prob. have kept it as a backup. As it stands though, its junk.

One thing I don't miss about the basic phone era is the cost of service. I remember it was like $80 a month to have unlimited text/talk on Verizon back then and there was always news stories of parents who didn't get the top-tier plan getting ridiculous overages because their teen sent 1000 messages in a month.

This was my first phone as well. Loved that thing to shits. I think that might have been what got me into tech originally. I remember bluetooth hacks and getting the .jar files so I could bluetooth games to my friends for free.
Eventually the connection to the screen got worn out, and the screen just went white. I still used it for a while after that though, I knew the interface so well.
