It's the lingua franca of Unix and a lot of us probably use a Unix-like OS.

I heard that new versions of VS can actually compile C# applications to native executables.
Does any one of you have experience with this?
c/c++ and python.
does html count as a programming language
C++ or C
Im bachelor SE and we've used Java, Erlang, ASM, C and C++.. and I have tried out Lisp, Haskell, Python, Javascript but I always tend to fallback onto C++ or C because I feel more comfortable using them.

This
I take a pragmatic view of this. A language is good if I can create correct, sufficiently-performant, and maintainable projects for clients without wanting to jump off a cliff. So far, the best options include Python or Go for web backend, Coffeescript for web frontend.
For native, Rust would be nice but a bit impractical still. I go with C++11 and keep things as strict as possible.
c and golang.

Anyhow, considering that coding is more of a hobby for now, i would say c and java. Me and c++...have a complicated love life to say the least.
Java and Haskell

>C/++
>C#
Using both of them?
Literally why? Either use C# or C++ you fucking mongoloid.
C++, PHP and Python.
C++ if you know what you're doing, C# for common commercial projects, whatever you want for web because web is a piece of shit where most clients don't care about performance

Well C is a turing complete language, and C can implement linked lists.
Can CSS implement linked lists? Deduce for yourself if CSS is then a turning complete language.
C++
Ruby
Just started using C++ professionally around a year ago and I enjoy it more everyday.
Python and JS
