With all the GPU companies having drivers ready to go it makes no sense why they would delay it.
Is Microsoft using their position in Khronos to derail Vulkan just like they derailed Longs Peak? Will we ultimately only see another minor upgrade as OpenGL 5 with Vulkan forgotten?

See how DX12 pans out better so that when Vulkan is released it can actually boast any improvement and not be stalled by "Just wait for DX12 to be tuned up"

So basically freetards are left behind in the meantime, again. Kek.

source on delay?

They said before the end of the year, and the end of the year is approaching rapidly with no announcement, or even an announcement of an announcement. Nobody seems to know what's going on, and you'd think that if they were close to a launch there would be some leaks about an event or something.

GDC is coming up in March but I can't remember if they had a keynote on the schedule.
>Is Microsoft using their position in Khronos to derail Vulkan just like they derailed Longs Peak?
Obviously not since Microsoft didn't derail Longs Peak.

March is very definitely next year. The longer its delayed by internal Khronos bullshit the harder a time Vulkan is going to have getting adopted.
Vulkan is DOA
Microsoft has DirectX
Apple has Metal
The only platform where Vulkan matters is Linux/Android, which has never been a showcase for advanced 3D graphics in either applications or gaymen.

kek, once again, free software fails again. Too bad loonix will never get all these amazing games I'm playing on windows, the OS that actually matters.
