Even though I'm on Mavericks, they still changed the dock on me after the install so now folders pop out instead of just opening. Also I like my minimize/maximize window button to work without having to hold down alt which ended after Mavericks.

if you like working from the command line, install homebrew, it works a lot like apt; you can install screenfetch and cowsay etc. and have a blast. also mac comes with vim in case you like that too.
