Install the latest MPC-HC (1.7.10). Then download the madVR zip from http://www.madvr.com/ then extract it somewhere permanent (I just stick it in a madVR folder in the MPC-HC install directory in C:\Program Files). In the madVR folder right click the install.bar file and select Run as Administrator. It will tell you if it installed correctly in a command prompt. Just hit enter to close it like it says.
Then open MPC-HC and go to Options-Playback-Output and select madVR from the dropdown list. Close MPC-HC then open a video file. You should see the madVR tray icon in the systray (might be hidden so click the little arrow). If not then you will have to work out why yourself senpai. Have fun!
