Is this a meme or not ffs
if you have to ask then yes

SATA III SSDs are a Meme.
M.2 on the other hand...
Ssds are not a meme. You notice the performance difference immediately.
The meme itself has become a meme.
literally meme^2
No, SSDs are great for OS partitions (64-128GB). They are however not recommended for general storage of video/music since you can still buy a 2TB HGST HDD for under $100.
I was posting that it wasn't and my Samsung evo ssd died. On phone now.
>>51797902
You sure it's dead? Have you tried all recovery methods? SSDs are suppose to be more durable than mechanical hard drives.
SSDs aren't an issue when used for SO and programs.
How long until we see SSDs for mass storage?
>>51797965
1TB SSDs are p. cheap now
>>51797835
Heh
Dat NVMe
>>51798019
Yeah, but i'm worrying about the wear out problem on them if i use them as a storage for my movies and chinese cartoons.
No doubts that for OS and GAMES they're ideal, but for downloading several movies and series every day?

You have to write like 800TB for that to happen

Epic :)

>800TB
Nice try shill
THE 850 EVO series are rated at 75TB and 150TB.
That's practically nothing.
In a couple of months your meme drive will be dead if you use it as a mass storage device.

[citation needed]
No. You only think this if you bought one in 2006 and are that kind of asshole that thinks it hasn't changed since then, or used 90s cloning software that doesn't support trim and cloned the drive in the worst possible way.
>>51798143
>75TB

I think he'll be ok.

I wouldn't worry about it. SSDs are pretty mature these days. I've had mine for years. I don't put media on it because spinning disks are so much cheaper, but otherwise I haven't changed my habits any.

Ok now i know you're retarded. Sorry bruh, life must be hard for you if you must go everyday like this.
>Warranty • 120,250 GB : 5 Years Limited Warranty or 75 TBW Limited Warranty
• 500 GB, 1000 GB (1 TB), 2000 GB (2 TB) : 5 Years Limited Warranty or 150 TBW Limited Warranty

Not him but you should read what you just posted again.
>WARRANTY
>>51798252
>Products don't ever last past their warranty
It appears that endurance is directly correlated with the size of the disk:

No.
>At work. Turn on comp. click on firefox, VS, SQL manager, SQL profiler in quick succession.
>Loads in 1-2mins on HDD
>Get SSD
>Turn on comp. click on firefox, VS, SQL manager, SQL profiler in quick succession.
>Loads in <20sec.
Plus my local SQL tasks don't lock up my system anymore. So fucking worth it.
the 840 pro was rated at 73TB writes (enterprise rate usage), but lasted over 2PB of writes in the famous endurance test of SSDs of that generation before going read-only.
i think SSDs of that generation and the current ones will outlast most users' entire computer. most of them also have ridiculous warranties (5-10 years compared to mechanical drives that normally have 1-5 from low to high end enterprise drives).
Everything is a meme to you retards, what difference does it make?
Can you fuckers not talk like actual human beings?
