So I've been using a desktop for the last 7 years, but age has finally caught up it. I'm also going to be overseas for work, and need something a lot more portable, so I'll be making the change to laptops. My primary concern is gaming, size/weight not so much since even a Titan weighs vastly less than my desktop.
After doing some research, I'm pretty set on buying myself an Asus ROG G752VT. I found one on clearance that has an i7 6700HQ, 24GB DDR4, a GTX970M, 1TB HD and a 128 SSD. Can't find anything wrong with it or the distributor, so I'm ready to shell out $1,470.
Is there anything I'm missing?
Enjoy your 95 degrees Celsius

From what I've read, 50-60 seems to be the max normally. It seemed like cooling especially was how this model was improved over the G751JY model. Is that not the case?
asus a shit bro

24GB RAM? Other than gaming what are you planning to do? 16 to 8 GB of RAM is really enough unless you're doing activities that are heavily dependent on RAM such as rendering.
Also ASUS is rubbish and full of bloat. Try something different.
Also consider getting a laptop with an SSD it's very good for performance wise.

I was interested in 24GB just for future-proofing purposes, but you make a fair point. The bloatware doesn't bother me too much, I can remove it from the computer one way or another. I'm definitely looking into an SSD though, at least one big enough for the OS.
What brand other than Asus would you suggest?

i had a lot more bloat on sony and lenovo than on asus

same, alienware too.
clevo seems to be pretty clear usualy
Asus seems to have the best price for spec ratio. Already bought 2 asus laptop so far
Just mITX

That's what I was interested in. A 6th generation i7 laptoip seems very expensive for brands like Clevo, and Asus seems to have good build quality as far as I know.
clevo is good, just expensive as shit
