So is new Opera and I've ended up using it. I suppose the differences in this one bothered me too when I made the switch, and now I've just gotten used to them. One thing I like is the snappier scrolling in Opera, I tried turning off smooth scrolling in Vivaldi but then it still felt really weird. Maybe I'm just becoming a cranky old man

Well... When I use muh closed source OS (Windows 10) so why not use a closed source browser, not really a big deal to me, it's based off Chromium anyway. Also I dual boot with Linux but still use Opera when I'm on Linux anyway it's the most responsive and smooth experience for me.

Guys I'm a very long time user of Firefox but recently I've been quite frustrated with the whole donations begging, I'm thinking of switching to chrome. Should I? When you go over 20 tabs, Chrome starts slowly but surely shitting itself. Firefox can easily go in the 500+ without noticing it. Mine only starts stalling at over 1000 loaded tabs.
