With hundreds of shitty tablets out there, which ones are the least shit? Both in the $200 and $500 ranges.
galaxy tab is apparently good for the price you can get it at now.
>>51757705
iPad, obviously.
>>51757882
That's the problem, though, there are at least four different versions of it.
>>51757882
get a sony xperia
same/better specs as the STabs and its fucking waterproof
usually sold cheaper too
>>51757996
Looks like Z3 and Z4 are way out of my price range.
Shield tablet imo
>>51757882
this.
i got a tab 4 for literally nothing. and it's very good imo, but it's missing the otg thing sadly
>>51757705
$200 - Anything ASUS is pretty decent IMO
$500 - Literally the iPads are the only decent ones with any build quality unless you are some memelord who has to modify their OS.
>>51757705
lenovo tab
Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 pro 8.4
>SD up to 128GB
>Not too big, not too small
>Great build quality
>Best screen on the market next to Tab S
>Plenty of custom ROMs.
>>51759624
The Tab S's display is AMOLED though
>>51759708
If it wasn't for this, and the "muh slim depth" battery i would buy it in a instant.
What were they even thinking when going for that aspect ratio while using AMOLED?
>>51759752
>that aspect ratio while using AMOLED
I don't get it
>>51759708
Yes but at the cost of a weaker CPU and battery life.
>>51759624
according to all the sources i can find, it's only up to 64gb sd capacity
>>51759996
True but in most cases that is just a placeholder. Many phones/tablets today can read/write a 128GB card.
>>51757705
I actually like my shield tablet.
>>51757705
200 range probably the Shield Tablet K1, 500 probably the iPad air 2 or maybe the Pixel C
>>51757705
NVIDIA Shield or Mi Pad 2.
>>51759708
Tab s 10.5 amoled is god tier, no other tablat can compete with that screen
>>51759225
>memelord who has to modify the OS
>tech literate person (fuck you, this is /g/) who wants to be able to modify the OS
>buying an android tablet
It's like you don't want real software
16:10 is literally a meme ratio
4:3 master race
>>51760152
I have a card reader that wont go above 32GB
I would be a bit cautious
galaxy note 10.1 2014 edition,
literally master race, using it daily to draw and gaming, + you can even dual boot linux and use it as laptop
>>51760472
why do i keep seeing stuff about a recall on it?
also it seems to be about the same price as >>51759624 and maybe a bit worse overall in comparison
>>51760756
>why do i keep seeing stuff about a recall on it?
Because all old ones are being recalled since it's shit.
>>51760756
never mind about being the same price, i found a tab pro for half off
>>51760601
Only the 7 and 8.4 tab s have amoled screens. The 10 inch version had an LCD screen.
>>51760619
4:3 is terrible for movies / TV though. If all you do is read then 4:3 is amazing, but if you plan on watching video on it 16:10 is a good middle ground.
>>51760756
The battery in a batch of their tablets had an overheating problem. Considering the nvidia "housefire" meme, shitposters had a field day.
>>51761662
>The 10 inch version had an LCD screen.
Where are you getting this information from?
>Only the 7 and 8.4 tab s have amoled screens
>7 Tab S
No such thing exists. What the fuck are you smoking?
Pixel C is the best $500 android tablet you can get now.
Why would you choose anything but a nexus 9 at that budget
$100 deal for the 2013 nexus 7 is a pretty good deal.

>>51761662
yeah this is just not correct.
