Slackware master race reporting in.
Yeah, both of us are here.
I wonder if the switch most other major distros made to systemd had some positive effect on Slackwares market share.

Doesn't sw use systemmd now?
I love Slackware and I find it annoying to use any other distro on my PC
I wish it didn't rely so heavily on KDE to supply its standard GUI applications (e.g. torrents) though.

Nope, they still use their sysv init with rc style scripts.
They aren't strictly against systemd, but aren't really fans of it either. I guess we'll see how the next few years go.
The next Slackware version is getting closer to beta, so we'll see. They're switching to eudev, to avoid sysd.
We'll see how it goes.

I don't even install the kde set, so I wouldn't know. kde is yuck.
Slackware was my first distro that I really started to use seriously and learned the bulk of my knowledge from. My server is even still called "darkstar".
Its still a distro you have to babysit like Arch and Gentoo though, so I moved to something better for lazy individuals like me.

Always deselect the k. Generally using xfce, but dicking around with the mate slackbuild. Really liking it.

Is Debian instable good for Lazies?
