i kinda like rails, haven't worked with django, but from what i hear and read it's nicer than ruby on rails.

On another note, I've played with Ruby a bit. Don't really like it. Heard good shit about Django but it has an SJW infestation.

You will benefit in so many different ways if you just write the thing in C# or Java or even Go. Writing it in C++ (either with boost or fastcgi) is great, but it's going the extreme in the other direction.
Java and C# aren't bad languages if you're the only one working on it.
