What's your preferred boot disk? Do people still use PartedMagic after it stopped being free?

No. I did before the guy who maintains it got so butthurt over people not giving him shekels, though. It's a shame, it was a good distro. Now I just use vanilla GParted Live.

I use Hiren's boot CD. It has everything i need.
>>51732392
old version is free
and it works
>rescue boot system
>partition-editor
>rescue system
>partition-editor ed
>rescue/repair a system
>edit the partitions

actually, can't someone who bought it just redistribute it for free, since it's a collection of free software? or is there some obstacle to that?
>>51732392
i just boot a ubuntu live distro and fix what needs to be fixed.
systemrescuecd
never used partedmagic
>>51733100
Actually it doesn't. The last free version uses a kernel with a TRIM bug that will destroy your SSD.

I have Hiren's boot cd on a 2gig usb somewhere, I rarely use it so...

This. And clonezilla for everything else.
