I have a ThinkPad T410 with an i5 and a nVidia running Fedora. I'm trying to use only the integrated graphics, but I just realized they're not even an option. I tried listing the X providers and got only the nVidia card:$ xrandr --listproviders
Providers: number : 1
Provider 0: id: 0x66 cap: 0x7, Source Output, Sink Output, Source Offload crtcs: 2 outputs: 5 associated providers: 0 name:nouveau
How is this possible? Did Lenovo disable the Intel GPU at the BIOS level or something?
Pic just marginally related.

I've helped lots of people here over the last 3 years. If you don't want (or know, I assume) how to help, fuck off.

lenovo didnt do shit, you crippled yourself by trying to be a special snowflake and run linux. now go back to google

This has nothing to do with Linux, there's nothing on the BIOS regarding graphic adapters or anything, which usually there is when you have a dedicated+integrated solution.
Besides, all my work is more easily done on Linux.

if it works in windows but not in linux, that is your fucking problem you dumb shit.
now fuck off

Whoops I should of clarified.
I think 1st gen quadcore i7 laptops didnt come with integrated graphics
I believe a T410 will not work with an i7 if they upgraded had they not had discrete board.
From my understanding, Intel didn't put their integrated GPU on the die until Sandy Bridge. I have a T510 that only reports the Nvidia graphics too. Although I noticed when I repasted it that there are two dies on the CPU, so I'm not really sure about that. Either way, attempting to install the integrated GPU drivers doesn't work, there's no mention about it in BIOS, and Thinkwiki makes no mention of the two GPUs being switchable, so I think it's safe to assume that you either get one or the other.
