I wouldn't call it /the/ best, but my Zenfone 2 Laser is nice and decently priced. If you're looking for something more top-end I would suggest the LG V10 or anything from Oneplus.
It's pointless for me to buy flagship phones because I only use my phone for casual browsing and communication anyway.

It's not so much that the Zenfone has bloat (you can remove all the shittiest pre-installed stuff) they just found a pointless need to make 3 shortcuts in different places that all do the same fucking thing, like "app" icons that just take you to various settings and other shit.
That said it's finally got an official unlocking tool so just install SuperZen or CM12.1 and you're good to go anyway.
Honestly any list which doesn't include Droid Turbo as GOD tier is shit.
