Say I want to search /g/'s catalog, it would be trivial to manually add that, however with a bang that isn't possible. They only have one for /b/ and the archives; I would have to ask them and wait for them to implement it first.
what's wrong with duckduckgo? returns goods results for almost all my basics searchs and have indexed everything I need, most known websites, forums, it includes some goods functions as time, temp, calc and it have a way cleaner interface and premade dark themes... let's be honest what else do you need? I only use google for doxing or for some exceptional tricky researchs that ddg cant handle.

You can try startpage. If you change the colorscheme to the plain white one it's decent to look at.
However it's fucking slow. Sometimes it just won't load or it gives an error. Gave up after 6 months using it exclusively
