Is it a real thing or a meme that 1080p resolution is too low for a 27" monitor?

Im looking to buy a second Samsung PLS monitor with 180 viewing angles. Found a 27" PLS for 150€

Too low for what? It's not hard to imagine what that would look like. Use your own sensibilities to determine if it would be too low for you or not.

Goddamn, I don't come to /g/ when deciding what color of shirt to wear in the morning.

1080 at 22inch is just about OK, anything larger looks like shit

1440 for 27inch is sweet spot right now

If you actually take advice from /g/ then you deserve to run that sized monitor at 1080p.

>1440p on 27 inch

Enjoy your shit dpi. I use 4K on 24 inches and it's perfect.

People seem pretty happy with their 85" 1080p monitors. Why? Because the ppi of the screen is determined by how many pixels occupy an area. And how big those pixels look is all dependant on how close you are to the screen. 27" for a computer is okayish at best unless it's mounting to the wall behind the desk for an extra 4-8 inches of distance. 23 is ideal for 1080p computer monitor.

Must sit 3" away from your screen.
>>
Im used to 1080p on my 32" hdtv.. i sit pretty close and fonts havent been a issue. On 720p, fonts were noticeably grainy though, to no surprise

It's fine until you get a higher res screen in comparison.

Just got an ultrawide at almost 4K res, and my 1080p 27" looks like trash next to it.

My 24" 1080p looks like a joke compared to my 27" 1440p. Get a crossover 2795, or dell has a refurb 27" 1440 ultrasharp for $350 right now.
>>
>>51680753
It's fine.

That's just stupid. I had a 28" 4K screen and I returned it because I needed a magnifying glass to read the text. The jews did 4K, I'm so sure of it.

Right now I use a 32" screen with 1440p resolution. It's perfect.

Optimal sizes:
22" 1080p
27" 1440"
32" 4K

prove me wrong
>>

>implying the size of pixels matter
Prove me wrong, the quality of the panel is way more important
>>
>>51684046
Then just get one big RGB LED you faggot.
>>
>>51680753
How fucking close are you sitting to your monitors if you think 1080p is the ultimate for 23?

>I returned it because I needed a magnifying glass to read the text

All you had to do is increase the DPI setting within your OS.
