So do you guys have any electronics projects going on in the side of are you all just software guys?
>pic related, modding little cousin's RC car to run on infrared and use a power bank instead of AA batteries, to make it run on all kinds of IR remotes, mainly so that his dog can chase the car
I'm going to solder up my own 20 awg 50cm cable tonight. Not sure if that counts though.
Also going to short out the data pins because reasons.
Also waiting for parts for the Bluetooth speaker I'm building.

I'm building a smart-watch with a friend of mine, and we just got the first prototype done, although it's not exactly functional as the screen isn't getting a signal for whatever reason
building a portable camera setup for general life-casting, going alright so far just waiting on missing pieces from chinkbay
Just soldering from CPUs together, nothing big.

What screen are you using my man?

Sharp LS013B7DH03, a neat little thingy. We haven't properly troubleshooted the whole thing but so far it might be the connector or the soldering as we checked with an oscilloscope that the display itself is getting nothing

I am using Pi and a touchscreen to make a working Pipboy using their own app. Easy project but fun.
I tried making a railgun out of old disposable cameras when I was in high school. Didn't go very well.

is that a bomb, op? don't make me call you in

I'm using a Pi and a DHT22 to build a network temperature and humidity sensor and logging device. Shit's going to record conditions in a storage room and send an email on exceeding certain tolerances.
Might add an LCD later on for on-device inspection.

Can't blame you for getting the soldering wrong, the contacts ARE small as fuck.
Gutting a car to make it run on batteries from laptops.

I've done a lot of VGA work with microcontrollers, so I decided to give myself a challenge and do everything in hardware. The diodes everywhere are forming AND and OR gates.

We couldn't spot anything wrong with that so we don't really know

Is it working yet anon? Are you trying to display something like an image or just simple solid color?

It's part of an analog video synthesizer project. This picture was taken using my first design of the VGA signal generator which ran on a mess of resistor-capacitor discharge timing so it was really unstable and didn't work with every monitor. The redesign meets the VGA spec 100% and all runs off a single crystal oscillator.
