>there are people out there using 1080p monitors that have not set their DPI to 144 pixels per inch.

>144 dpi
Not all screens are tiny 8' screens
Why would I do that when my monitor's actual PPI is 95.something?
>>51666942
>all monitors are the same size
Are you retarded?
>>51667054
>>51667014
96 ppi is horrid even on a 27" screen.
>>51666942
I don't think you understand how ppi works

I have set my 144 inches into your mom's pixel though.

Casuals. 15.6" 1080p and 27" 1440p are fine.
>>51667878
If you are in 1440p you'd have even more reason to increase your DPI setting.
how do i do this>>51666942
I'm using 1080p on a 27" monitor, which means my PPI is about 82. I really like it actually.
>1080p 24"
>roughly 91ppi
Why would I change? It looks fine.
>>51669075
op is just reading the spec numbers on tigerdirect and bragging about shit he doesn't understand
I'm surprised he didn't bring up his 5000000:1 ratio
>using arbitrary figures you found online
Calculate your actual DPI for 1:1 pixel mapping faggot.

I just changed it to 144 and it looks like I went from 1920x1080 to 800x600. Like it's a setting for the visually impaired or something.
>there are people out there using 1080p monitors
That's a fine smartphone resolution, but for a computer?

People who still don't understand the DPI setting. Hint: it is completely separate from your screen's DPI rating.
I use 144 ppi in Win 7. I can't stand having wasted space on my screen, and I hate having very small text for my UI buttons and menus when I'm running in 1920x1200.
Google homepage at 96 and 144 ppi's respectively (browser maximized).
I also use Mactype to have smoother fonts, so I guess that will probably make people mad.
