Can't a Chromecast/Amazon Fire Stick/Android device/PC/Raspberry/C.H.I.P./Console/Aliexpress minibox already do this?
What's the point if it doesn't have high specs?
>>
Why would people report this.

Snake oil salesman for computers
Like those people selling RPI as a "fully functioning desktop"

It has sixteen cores. This makes it 5x faster than a quad core cpu. You guys don't get it. This CPU has the same amount of cores as toptier server xeon.

For almost 400 bucks, they can't include a FULL installation? What kikery.

It clearly says 16 gpu cores

Does anyone make a decent compute stick that can play Hi10P, HEVC, and BDMV or should I just build a mini-ITX HTPC?

Yes, the better Intel Atoms and ARM machines can (in software, for hi10P).

But I'd get a box rather than a stick anyways.

Solid USB ports and bigger wlan antenna and sometimes less heat issues and stuff are usually worth it.

There is also this very new thing.

>(in software, for hi10P)
There's literally no SIP decoder that can decode hi10p h264, the only way to do it is in software
>>
Did someone actually just ask if people were stupid?

ON FUCKING 4CHAN???
>>
>>51662997
Okay, didn't know there was still none.

Anyhow, you can do it in software with the high-end-ish ARM or newer Atoms.

And HEVC + (even 3D) BDMV can be done in hardware on many of those.

WHY ARE PEOPLE THIS STUPID

>even higher than the theoretical max of USB data transfer
How did they get away with this?
>>
>>51665121

Up to, not definitely 1 Gbps. The oldest trick in the book.
>>

I have a 1st gen FireTV and hi10p works on it as long as I disable hardware acceleration in kodi. I don't recommend buying one though. The version of android it runs makes it pretty terrible.

You guys think you're so smart of course it's not possible yet. That's why they need the money to make it work. Everything is possible with enough money. Remember solar roadways?

>Remember solar roadways?
Yeah, we do. That project is a big reason for why crowdscamming is ridiculed.
