NEVER use an SSD for virtual RAM. SSDs have limited write cycles (~10K). Using a SSD as ram will wear it out quicker.
Just buy more RAM, it's like $15 for a 2GB stick - are you that poor?

"Extra boost"? Vydia gaem performance is dictated by how much vram, cpu/gpu processing power, and the transfer speed of the vram.
Are you using an APU? Because if so then adding more ram just lets you load higher res textures, it doesn't really improve fps.

Still, more ram means less time swapping information between the cpu, gpu, etcetc which is always a good thing. Unless I'm not nerdy enough and I may be missing something in this.

I did, but still. I don't see a reason to use a SSD to boost up loading times of pretty much everything to 3 to 5 seconds tops while you can buy a CPU and have the same benefits. Mostly because of the SSD lifespan.
