Are you certain your 6850 is turbo dead? There are ways to breathe life back into ancient cards.

I used the oven trick to keep my 8800gts alive until 5870 came out
Main cause of video cards dying is because some faggots decided that soldering tin should be lead-free

It is only a temporary fix to tackle cards dying from years of heating and cooling. How long it will last? Depends how much abuse the card has had and how cool you keep it after baking.
Replacement thermal paste and an agressive fan curve usually further extends a cards life.
