Used to use flux.
Then I got a nice monitor, properly calibrated the brightness + contrast + color temp to my room.
Now I never get eye strain, and haven't used it in half a decade.
Haven't got eye strain once, not even in all nighters.

Except I get less eye strain now than with flux, better image quality because it's a good monitor.
