>Take A+ practice test after 10 minutes of study
>Get an 89%
Wait, what?! Is this practice test just shit or is this test supposed to be really easy?
Oh also cert/career thread.
>>51641487
it's literally as entry level as you can get[spoiler] i don't poo in the loo
>Don't study at all
>completely bomb all CMD related questions
>71%
>70% is the cutoff
ez pz
>>51641487
It's a little of both. The actual test is almost always much harder than the practice tests, but it's still not very hard.
>>51641542
Ah ok. I guess i'll keep studying. I want to take it before th 15th so that the test doesn't switch up on me.

>Take A+ practice test

A+ is a joke
>>51641487
link?
>>51642442
also curious
I was actually forced to take "IT fundamentals" certification exam as party of my capstone so I can graduate. We were given a password protected PDF, given like a month to study.
Didn't read, didn't study, scored 870/900 on the exam and finished in 25 min when they gave me 90.
This "cert" is ranked below the A+. Why fucking bother? This is fucking stupid and a waste of time.

>>This "cert" is ranked below the A+. Why fucking bother?
because there really are people in the world who don't know things like that turning on the monitor != turning on the computer, or that their browser, their operating system, and the internet are different things. There's lots of them, actually. They're all over.
How much am I looking to make with an A+ & Network+?
>>51642442
>>51642642
I did it on my laptop and I can't be arsed to open it again to get the exact link. Just search comptia A+ practice test in duckduckgo. It's the 3rd or so result.

>How much am I looking to make with an A+ & Network+?

>>51641529

Help Desk, 10-15$/hr. Fuck Network+, get your CCNA.
Anyone here got the LPIC-1 cert or RHCE?
I was thinking of getting one of those two, but I was wondering which one should I get?
The thing is, rhce is the highest Red Hat cert, as far as I know and ou can jump Straight into it without any other cert, and It just takes one exam.
The thing with LPIC-1 is that it's the lowest LPIC cert and it takes two exams (so double the price). And for LPIC-2 or 3 you have to have all the previous LPIC certs, so it's a lot of money and the RHCE seems just fine.
>>51645688
i think you answered your own question anon
>>51645688
RHCE is WAY fucking harder than LPIC. There's a reason it's the top level cert.
This took place a few years back
> take network+
> so boring
> don't bother going back to recheck everything because think i failed anyway and I just want it to end
> Passing: 650
> my score: 650
I laughed so hard that I couldn't breath for almost a minute. Had a smile on me for the rest of the month.
>>51645892
What about RHCT? Should I do rhct first, in that case?
