Sounds alright for £50, especially since the chipset supports x265 (HEVC) and 10bit video for those Mongolian toddler animations.

I did a fresh install because I didn't want Android. it also defaults with Windows 10 home china (this is important. regular 10 home will not work with the embedded product key.)
How much better are the cherry trail tablets vs baytrail? I have a dell venue 8 pro and its kinda laggy with win10.

Cherry Trail only supports HEVC hardware decode up to 4K for 8 bit only.

Graphics performance is miles better. CPU, not so much.
