I want to buy a 4K monitor not just for gaming but for content creation.

I'm looking into getting the ASUS PQ321Q because of its color accuracy thanks to it IPS-like panel (that's what Linus said). Is there a cheaper alternative that is also a 31 inches.

My second option would be the ASUS PB287Q.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Is there anything new coming out soon?

The PQ321Q has been replaced by the PA328Q, which is basically the same

If you can, go for the Dell UP3216Q

What's different about the ASUS one? Thanks for responding!

Is there such a thing as an IPS 28" 4k 60 Hz monitor with faster response than 8ms?

A few "larger than 28" 4K screen option:

Philips BDM4065UC
LG 31MU97
Samsung UD970
Asus PA328Q
BenQ BL3201PT
Dell UP3214Q
Dell UP3216Q

Yes:

Dell P2715Q
Asus PB279Q

If you really want color accuracy, get something that is designed to operate near sRGB, like the Dell P2415Q/P2715Q. Or you can go wide gamut, like the Ultrasharps, but note that the Dell 4k ultrasharps are actually older and have worse firmware, and wide gamut can make things look stupid in apps without color correction.

I guess if you need a huge screen though the PQ321Q looks decent too.

wtf does that even mean ??
Why the fuck are you listening to Linus ? just look at how shitty his information is

its either IPS or it another panel type that achieves close results to IPS but it isnt IPS

arent the older 4K ultrasharps just 2 displays mated together ?
I have the P2715Q

Some issues with the dell monitor
sometimes the display wakes up in 1440p or lower
occasionally the display won't wake up at all
when you turn the display off/on [while the pc is on] your open windows will all be forced into the top left corner as if the display went through a resolution change.

its small annoying stuff, i just stopped turning the display off and solved that issue that way, or minimize your windows first [Win + D]
