Holy shit dude that's literally the exact same rig as I used, only difference is the brand of ram... It works perfectly, but you might need to use the -no-zp bootflag in order to get it to boot, as I found out after hours of kernel panics and headaches. Also, make sure you enable TRIM in terminal after installing

A fuck load. Different swipes do all sorts of crazy shit, a bunch of older audio gear is no longer compatible, but there has been some major improvements to a lot of their apps as well. Pretty great if you have other Apple devices, they all talk to each other and sync bookmarks, texts, and all that.
Sometimes i really miss Snow Leopard, everything on that system worked fucking perfect, and supports so much software is wish i could run now.
I am a big fan of the new GUI.
