Since I live in a pretty good appartment complex and am currently getting an ethical hacking cert, I decided to practice simple stuff like penetrating networks and accessing computers and stuff like that.
The thing I was wondering, which I don't know if it's /g/ related or not, is that can I report information gotten from this to the authorities. From one of the people I got in to see some disturbing pictures of some kind of foreplay with both men and women who ended up bloody and possibly dead.
I thought at first it might be just some SSM and whatever but then I got in his chat logs that were saved in the TEMP files and I saw some disturbing shit.
If reporting this info to the police possible, do you know of a way of sending information anonymously through the police servers?

Ethical hacking is a shit job that has almost 0 demand because of the implications it carries. You will find yourself jobless unless you join a well known team, and the pay will be split among the 4-6 people in the team.

Nothing you find will hold up in court unless it was discovered legally. If you really want to put him/her away, there's a couple of things you can do.
you can try to open them up to discovery by law enforcement. i.e. break their TLS, disable thier privacy settings, etc.
you could also try asking their ISP if they can do anything on their end, but only tell them you have suspicions.
if you do end up making a police report, again stick with suspicions. they'll never land any charges if it gets out that you hacked them

WPA2 PSK takes an absurd large amount of time to crack though. And it requires the use of a dictionary attack or rainbow tables. Both of which might not contain the password since it could be anything between 8 and 63 characters long.

Reaver and Pixiedust attacks only work on a certain subset of wireless routers with WPS as most of them have been patched to prevent the exploit from being useful anymore. Even on routers that supposedly haven't been patched for the direct Reaver attack, the shit still doesn't work more often than not by simply blocking multiple attempts in a row with a time out and then a lock out so it's a dead end.
Of 45+ router brands, there's like 7 of them that are still vulnerable and they're the cheapest pieces of shit that nobody even buys in the first place.
