Greetings! Can /g/ please recommend me a decent dock / application launcher for Windows 7? Not necessarily free. Thanks in advance.

They're useless, that's what your taskbar is for
>>51626277
Thank you for your input. You see the problem is, I have more than 40 programs -excluding folders- that I need to have easy and fast access to.
>>51626304
You don't need access to 40 programs from the desktop, your taskbar will allow you to do that terrible thing without third-part software, but you aren't going to listen so just install rainmeter
ps if you hit the windows key and type the first three letters of your file/application, it will magically appear and you can press enter to launch it
>>51626304
so you're going to pin 40 programs onto your your rocketdock? What's the difference
There's also a start menu, it's not like you'll be using all 40 daily

Mac osx
>>51626338
Thank you, I'll try rainmeter.
>>51626340
My plan was to create multiple docks with the program, so I can have full visibility of every single one of them, with the swing of a mouse.
>>51626344
I'm sorry, I have a pc.
Hit your Windows key and type the first few letters of a program
Alt+Tab
christ are people actually retarded. keyboard is faster than grabbing your mouse and waving it around

Press Windows + Q, way faster and less invasive.
>dock
>on windows 7
>'needing' quick access to 40 programs
>not using the start menu
>not using desktop icons
>wanting third party software to do what the os already does
perfect rainmeter candidate. make sure to get a gaming related skin for your dock

this. if you use Windows 10 / 8.1, the search is actually quite good. press the Windows key and start typing the program you need.
no need to install shitty third party software
Launchy

Nope. I used it long ago. It's not entirely bad but it's not that great.

This is the future, OP. Fucking love it. It's instant, fast, customizable and light.

It's free

What's "not that great" about Launchy?
alt+spacebar, type the first letters of the program you're looking for, hit enter. Done.
Plus it's FOSS.
Isn't that what OP is looking for?

Did they get rid of having to update the db yourself, like with updatedb/locate? Is the db realtime or on a timer? Did they get rid of the hideous skinning in favor of a decent, native UI?
>>51630465
FYI farr is realtime and doesn't exactly expose any concept of a db to the user. It just works, realtime.
Yes, I don't know, and yeah it looks kind of XP-y.
BUT IT WERKZ

This is both me... I'm fucking up, I know
>>51630494
In farr's case it's a definite yes, definitely realtime and neutral skinning.

You don't need a dock when you have everything
