I've seen this kind of person before. They usually have an inferiority complex and are desperatly obscessing over their "invention", believing that they will change the world and become famous through it.

His problem is that he's an industrial designer, not a product designer. Product design requires entirely different paradigms.
For example he shouldn't have used an aluminium case, because it's expensive, heavy and looks like shit without a finish. He also needs to add waterproofing and unify the LED layout.
Maybe add in a variable voltage source, so you can charge different devices.
The idea does have potential, but the implementation is shit.
