Why haven't they made a form factor like that of older computers?

Why haven't they made a form factor like that of older computers? It would save space and you could just place a keyboard on top of it.

The "All-in-one" desktop/monitors save even more space.

Sure but, this could combine better performace while still being pretty compact.

Because the more stuff you shove on a product, the more likely are you to alienate people.

You could strap a toothbrush to a dildo but if people don't like both the products they won't buy the packet.

I get that. But what I mean is like this.
>>
>>51610986
Because if you want a desktop-netbook you can get a far smaller form factor than that.

Kinda wish more 'just a keyboard stick it in the TV to get a screen' things existed, though.
>>
>>51610406
I also liked that form factor but stop crying about it, All-in-one are obviously more space saving and you don't kill it if you spit on the keyboard.

>>51610817
The performances doesn't depend on the form factor, this is fucking 2015.
>>
>>51611049
A stick computer + wireless keyboard would work. There's a bunch of stick computers to choose from but most have limited functionality.

I mean, headless laptops are a thing.

You could also build a cyberdeck if you want to be a huge nerd.

Even though you'll look like a retard this is fucking awesome

Cosplay? LARP? Hacking the Gibson?
There probably isn't one.

Just take the screen off of a laptop.

I like this form factor, it would be fun to just hook it up to every monitor I can find.

But then again, it seems a deprecated form factor, the only way would be to custom build a computer like this.

You could also just tape a miniPC to the back of your monitor and plug in a mechanical keyboard.
>>
>>51611614
I didn't say that, but more space allows for more and bigger hardware.

It's not fashionable right now. There are (m)ATX boards for towers, mini ITX you can stick to the back of a monitor, and even smaller toy computers. It looks "cleaner" to have the desk clear of everything except the keyboard, mouse, and speakers.
>>
>>51612177
this is basically the modern equivalent

>tape
lel, there's a standard for attaching shit to the back of a monitor (well, it was originally for attaching the monitor to shit, but whatever)
>>

My mother's laptop screen broke so I took it , removed the screen and got exactly this plus a trackpad and a battery .
>>
You mean like a "notebook"? Yeah what a shame they don't make those anymore.
>>
>>51612473

Man, not to sound like a fanboy, but at its max buoyancy era Sony was able to pump out a lot of conceptually/aesthetically amazing shit, beautiful ideas for the sake of it sometimes... but why doesn't a company like Apple (drowning on a amount of profits never seen by any other CE company ever) let their engineers indulge in a bigger variety of vanity or pet-projects like those anymore?

A headless laptop is a computer case with a keyboard on it, which is exactly what you're fucking looking for you dumb retard.
Get a bigger fucking laptop if the size is that important to you.
