Would you buy dell tech?
>>51609288
I already did so, yes.
>>51609288
Yes they make the best monitors apart from NEC and EIZO which are overpriced.
>>51609288
I love how hard you dellshills try to push Dell products on to /g/, and yet still almost nobody here buys them.
Dell computers are fucking garbage.
>queue the standard anti-mac or lenovo response
i bought a dell prebuilt once. never again
>>51609288
Yes. There are currently two Dell monitors on my desk and I have plans to get a third.
And then a fourth.
Their glossy S series monitors are perfect for my dark basement. God-tier quality.
>>51609401
>can't even afford dell
oh dear
>>51609288
laptops and mobile workstations? no, not just no but an emphatic fuck no
workstations, ultrasmalls, and all in ones? still fuck no
displays and periphery? ye
Yes I buy my rigs from Dell exclusively
I would gladly buy their screens.
>buying anything with winshit
enjoy your thick heater
>>51609288
Once bought a Dell laptop, never again.
Dell monitor. Yes.
Never prebuild
Currently have a Dell Inspiron 3551 Laptop
Its runs any linux distro with ease and full linux driver and firmware support.

Dell latitude masterrace reporting.
I like my laptop better than my labmate's thinkpad. It is however comparable to a "good" thinkpad but the dell was less expensive.
I have a 14yo dell monitor,. Still working and using it.
>>51609738
what happened
>>51611169
Also rollin with a Latitude. Love the design and manifacture is great. More power wouldn't hurt but my little laptop always makes me proud
>>51609288
Maybe.
>>51609288
XPS is aesthetic
>>51609401
Stay mad antishill
>>51609383

>>51609288

>>51609288
business laptops and screens, yes
>>51609394
Is there really one fucking guy who constantly fucking mentions Dell, NeC and Eizo all the fucking time on /g/
Bough this. Amazing laptop, slim, fast and quiet. Macintrash is now in the loo where it belongs.
>>51612985
That looks cheap af desu senpai.
Got an E6410 Lat that I use as my school computer. Does everything I throw at it. Only issue is the non-free broadcom firmware that it requires for wifi (thank you Debian) but other than that its a wonderful little thing.
I'm still rocking some Dell speakers I took from a friend's prebuilt who didn't want them
They're pretty awesome
>>51613039
Looks much better than my old mac IRL desu senpai. You should check it out.
I'm considering getting a dell inspiration 17. Will I regret it?
>>51609394
>best monitors
They definitely do make decent monitors but how are they different from any other manufacturer who uses the same panels?
dell monitors own as everyone here said
their machines have historically been garbage but in recent years thats changed. xps line is big this year, and I got one of their venue tablets and it feels great
>>51613108
>17
>laptop
Dude, buy 13" latitude or precision, or even better xps. Their design is so much better. You won't be doing any serious work on that 17" display anyway.
>>51613108
>buying an Inspiron ever
Seriously, if you need a 17" laptop get either a Latitude, or if you need processing power go get a Precision.
>>51613108
probably
isn't it like 1366x768?
why is it so hard for laptop manufacturers to use 1200x800 and 1440x900?
>>51613233
its 1600x900
>>51613196
>>51613207
i thought a bigger screen might be nice for drawing, but maybe you are right, its not like i use the entire screen on my desktop most of the time
Actually, I am using Dell laptop. Inspiron 15-5000 in fact.
I found ti quite enjoyable for price I had to pay. The only problem I found was that AMD graphic card is really weak but handles older games so it is kinda okay.
Sure.
I have nothing but good experience with their stuff.
Got a pair of U2311H monitors and a Vostro 3350.
They're all kind of old, but they still work great for me.
If I were to upgrade I'd get U2515H and an XPS 13.
Can't afford their Precision laptops.
>>51613233
Majority of last year laptops from Dell are 1080p
>>51611285
Battery will definately din in an year, you have to take to it to the service centre twice or thrice a year.
>excited to buy swish-looking aluminium lidded Inspiron 15 7000
>waits for Skylake
>they change it to a gross black & red plastic gaming machine
fucking whyyyyy
dell's a really good company but their technical support is absolute dog shit
their laptops usually have good specifications, not like the slow ass pentiums other companies put in their facebook machines, most dell laptops use c2d's or mid range i3's
their business laptops are also very good, they usually have i5 vpros
They make some of the best monitors in the industry, hands down. I own one
>>51613944
Are we looking at the same page?
As far as I can tell, the US site has a black lid on the Inspirons and my local (Danish) site has a silver lid.
Silver is the only option for both Inspiron and XPS.

well yeah, because I said Inspiron 15. but the 13 still doens't look as elegant as the old 15 either.
here's the new Inspiron 15:

here's the older aluminium + carbon fiber one:

Their pre-built stuff is good for tech dumb people if they get the warranty. I can't tell you how many students at my college wrecked their computers and had no trouble because they were dells.
For me of course losing mobos and hard drives was just an annoyance. I'd never buy one for myself.
The monitors are pretty sweet though
>>51614376
Oh, yeah, I realize I'm the one derping.
By the way, I just saw the new Precision 15 (5510).
Goddamn, it looks so good.
