edit the source code or get their beautiful lucida fonts from the zip in vita nuova's website. it will overide the ugly font that comes with their repo.

Try setting the "font" environment variable in the startup script before you start the wm. I have no idea whether this works for all of Inferno, but acme and acme-sac do pay attention to it.
