I've spent a shit load on audio equipment between my gaming desktop and my home theater, and countless hours building enclosures for my theater's subwoofers. But I still just use the shitty black lg headphones that came with my phone. I usually just listen to it at the airport and on planes while traveling where you can barely hear shit anyway. Nice headphones seems pointless to me.

That's a decent set up for $65, less than nice headphones.
then you can add a cheap but loud and low sub like dayton sub 1000 for ~$100 and you'll have the low end bass that no headphones, no matter how expensive, can imitate.
