Will you finally stop using uBotnet or qStalledmeme now that the greatest torrent client ever made is getting an official Windows port?

If you are still on uBotnet, you should pretty much just fucking KILL YOURSELF for being this much of a c.uck.

If you moved to qStalledmeme: don't worry, Tranmission will become the best torrent client available for Windows and nobody will bother using qStalledmeme anymore because its a buggy piece of shit that loses settings, crashes with a lot of torrents, and has poor seeding performance.

Someday, everybody will switch to torrent clients that are open source and free of proprietary MPAA malware! Rejoice, /g/!

Are you suggesting that 2.2.1 is a botnet? What evidence do you have?

As for being used by seedbox providers, I'm not one of them so I don't care. Also by what metric is it a higher quality connectivity?

'Being up to date', in what way is 2.2.1 out of date? What functionality is it missing? What part of the protocol does it fail at?

>>
>>51590519
Tbh it's just a culture thing between windows and UNIX-likes. On UNIX-likes you tend to run separate programs for different tasks so that you don't need to repeat functionality between similar software. So the same RSS grabber can be used for any torrent client, and if you don't like the way an RSS grabber works you can use a different one or modify it yourself.

I thought it was worse too when I moved from Windows but really it helps more than it harms in most cases.
>>
Transmission is the iPad of torrent clients. It should be good enough for normies who otherwise install adware ridden crap.

>tfw literally 0 reason to switch

The ONLY reason I switched from uTorrent to qBit is because utorrent shoved ads in my face.

What I want from a torrent client:

>I open a magnet link
>The client downloads the file and gives me a notification that it's finished
>click on the notification so that it brings me to the download folder

And that's literally it.

Could you explain to me what kind of technowizardry you require your torrent client to do that mine can't and why should I care about your autistic fits?

there is no reason you can't use a torrent client that works forever. there isn't going to be some revolution in the basic functionality of bittorrent. p2p often relies on specific networks that have to be maintained. there are many torrent clients that lag behind in features that utorrent has had for ages, including transmission. unless you have a specific use like a server/seedbox there is no reason to use a less complete client on your desktop.

Does all the shit uTorrent and Transmission do, with native UI, customization and bandwidth management, de-centralized chat, and lightweight.

Finally. Transmission-qt was literally worse than shit.

qbit works fine though
>>
>>51609491
It's still the exact same shit you would get using the unofficial qt/gtk builds. They're just officially supporting it now.
>>
>>51609507
Yeah and maybe that will mean it won't be complete fucking garbage like the unofficial fork is.
>>

>>
>>51609516
No its the EXACT SAME codebase. You've been able to build windows binaries from the transmission source tree for YEARS, thats exactly what projects like transmission-qt did.
>>
>>51609310
>chat
integrated media player, codecs and antivirus when?
>>
>>51609544
Well then fuck that, Transmission-qt was literally worse than Vuze.

I'll stick to Transmission on my seedboxes then.
>>
>close down qBitt without pausing torrent
>it has to recheck all my torrents taking forever
>download anything over 10gb's
>have to do a forced recheck because it never downloaded the whole thing

Is it the same shit in Transmission?
>>
>>51609567
No, transmission isn't poorly designed.
>>
>>51609567
but did it really close down?
i've over 1500 torrents running and exiting qbittorrent still leaves the .exe running in the background for a while
>>
>>51609585
Still no 4-0% upload option though.

Man. I my internet is Australian tier. If I upload anything over like 10 kb/s it's noticeable.

>>51609601
Yes. I constantly minimize it. I'm talking about shutting down the process while a torrent is downloading.

Having to recheck a 50gb torrent that is on 94% tends to take a while.
>>
>>51609567
pebkac
>>
>>51609630
Then do illuminate what I'm doing wrong so I can fix it.

Not sure how I'm supposed to download a torrent differently.
>>
>>51609624
>I'm talking about shutting down the process
please elaborate
>>
>>51609659
Right clicking the icon and pressing exit.
Ctrl+Q.
Shutting down my computer and forgetting qBitt was downloading.
Unexpected loss of power.

Just feels like I have to go through hoops to make sure I can shut it down before it's satisfied.
>>
>>51609701
so user error.
you exit the program, wait for the process to end itself and then you reboot or whatever.
>unexpected loss of power
not even utorrans thinks that's cool

What addon?
What browser addon will allow you to download torrents as if they are just normal file downloads?
No extra program, just integrates into the browser?

Nice to know, Transmission is pretty good, used the -QT version for a while on my Windows machine and really liked it, but I'm using Tixati now, and it werks like a charm, so I don't know if I'll change.

>>51595244
Damn, qBittorrent looks fucking good... too bad the stalled meme is not a meme, at least not here.

µTorrent 2.2.1 is the last best version of any BitTorrent client that'll ever exist.

There will never be anything this lean and efficient or functional so don't even bother fucking trying.
>>
Transmission-QT already existed faggot
>>
>>51588394

Nope.
I'll be using uBotnet 2.2.1 forever because migrating 200+ torrents over to a new client is too much effort.
