Though, there is really popular system where you get minimal wage and a "bonus"(like $450), your actual wage then could be lowered or raised arbitrarily on a company whim.

Got a friend who worked on software for satellites, they all received federal minimum wage with a ~$300-1000 bonus there, kek.
