How is the lounge chair? I have the Embody with the dotted blue fabric and its decent but not the most comfortable and kind of feels like it wasn't worth it.
Chilling watching TV or playing console games in the other chair seems cool though.

Was really looking at that specific ultrawide for a while, my only fear is going from a 144hz tn panel with a 1ms response time to a standard IPS 60hz panel would feel weird
I ordred an amazon basics chair because this chair is literally 2 slabs of plastic and sitting on the floor is more comfortable

Anyone know of a good desk along these lines for maybe $300 or so? I have a shitty old pressboard built it yourself desk I got from my grandfather that has a keyboard tray. Sitting at it with my Embody isn't awful, but it feels very much like its hurting my posture.
http://store.hermanmiller.com/Products/Everywhere-Rectangular-Table
These tables look decent but you can't adjust height and when it comes down to it you are paying a fucking fortune for a normal table. Would still need drawers and a keyboard try or anything else I might want.
>>51588222
I turn to the side and sneeze if I ever need to. The monitor does fall off and smack me in the nose every so often when my roommate bumps my desk, etc.

Good luck with that, anon. 300 USD is cheap as shit for a desk, for an adjustable desk you're looking at minimum 500 USD, and easily over 1000 USD depending on size and quality.
Your best bet if you don't want to spend much is to try and find out if some corporation/office near you is getting new desks for whatever reason, maybe you'll get lucky and they'll let you take one off their hands.

I don't know if it's because I'm Danish, but there are a lot of Danish designer chairs I'd much rather have.
Can't afford any, though. Most of the lounge chairs cost $5000+

>>51590327
Dell, EIZO and NEC are objectively the best.
>>51590315
>that much
I think it was $800 for the amp and dac.
The speakers are awesome.
Elac BS 263.
I guess the only thing I'd change in my audio setup is the amp and dac.
If I had the money for it, I'd get a Hegel H160.
This MF amp makes my speakers hiss a little when there's nothing playing.
It's kind of weird, but I haven't found a solution to it, and I always play music or something else.
I ordered the amp and dac from the US, so returning them would be more trouble than it's worth.
>>51590337
The majority of Dell monitors use LG panels. Dell build quality is far far better than LG directly though
>>51589735
how to filter this trash with clover?
>>51590367
>This MF amp makes my speakers hiss a little when there's nothing playing.
That happens with all speakers/amps without exception. Only the loudness of it varies.
The ELACs look nice (always been a fan of their cones) but they're overpriced for how they perform.
>H160
Again, overpriced for what they achieve. Stereophile measurements suggest that much.
>>51590337
Most big name monitors use LG panels anyway, it comes down to build quality and aesthetic, which most other manufacturers do better.
This is my battlestat[/code]ion
People claiming to be a rich fag be like
>"look at my 2000$ gaming rig"
>put it on a on a 50$ shitty Ikea table
Srsly?
>>51590510
spend money on the things that matter to you, and not on the things that don't.
>>51590467
You forgot warranties, factory calibration and other features such as OSD options and integrated USB hubs.
Also those 'big name' companies using the panels generally source the best panels manufactured while LG throw in what's left. It's better business for them to sell the good panels off, especially to Dell as they're the largest seller of monitors.
>>51590434
I paid €1200 for the Elacs.
€400 cheaper than what the local places charge in Danish currency.
This is my first pair of "real speakers", and I don't think I'll ever get anything else for my desk.
I love them.
No matter what I get for a new dac/amp, I'll make sure to get them with a trial period of sorts.
I'd like to get rid of the hissing - there must be something that's better than this.
But right now it's not a pressing matter - this setup sounds great when it's playing.
I think my money was well-spent.
>>51590510
Paid like 1200$ for all
The walls are going to get painted in a month or so. And I'm going to buy some speakers.
>>51590525
>I'd like to get rid of the hissing - there must be something that's better than this.
You might be able to find an amp to do that but like I guess, you won't get rid of it, only make it quieter.
>>51590548
Those JBLs make my dick rock hard
>>51588004
I doubt it was 'built to order', most proper office supply furniture I've seen isn't at all branded. The desk I have at home has zero branding, all the ones at work have zero branding, etc.
>>51590551
I'm not looking for 0dB.
Just quiet enough.
Honestly, I noticed the hissing gets lower when the amp has been running for a while.
Right now I have to mute everything and put my ear next to the speakers - even my laptop is louder than this.
Ideally it'd look like something made by "Electrocompaniet".
Their classic line just looks amazing.
No love for headphones from them, though.

>>51590632
Dirty as fuck bike in same room as /bst/, why?
>>51590700
It's audible from my listening position - in my office chair when the amp is powered on.
After it's been warmed up for a while it's not.
And I've established that it's just the amp making the hiss.
It does it when the dac (only input) is off as well.
Speaker sensitivity is rated at 87.5dB, but they're the last thing I'm going to replace.
I guess the hissing is just a minor inconvenience.
Mainly because I never thought of it, so it caught me by surprise.
>>51590765

>>51590919
I literally just took off the chain shield-thing off my $100 bike to oil up the chain and to have easier acces to it, I broke off the rear mud shield or whatever it's called, because it was held in place with only one screw and it would sag down onto the wheel, I oil the chains up every 6 months (with whatever I find laying around in the garage, mostly I use wd40, but I have used engine lubricant once, and it had the same effect), and it goes buttery smooth.
>>51590980
Sure but it's same idea with a $100 PC and a $700. Both do the same function but one is better than the other.
>>51590980
WD40 is completely the wrong thing to use for a chain mate. It will strip any oil/lube *off* the chain.
>>51590900
$3k isn't even a lot for a bike if you want a good one
>>51590980
I have pretty much given up on maintaining my bike.
The only thing I do is tightening the chain and pumping air in the tires.
It's such a piece of supermarket shit on all levels apart from the saddle which is salvaged from my late grandfather's old bike.
If all goes well I'll get something like a Specialized Crosstrail.
Never again will I buy something with internal gears and non-disc brakes.
>>51591039
$3k is definitely in the range of an enthusiastic amateur, especially for a mountain bike. road bikes are the ones that go for thousands of dollars - not so much with mountain bikes (although every market has an ultra-high-end).
>>51591001

An inexpensive Glenlivet 12 I was given as a gift a long time ago. On a shelf beneath that (not visible in picture because it's behind the chair), though, is a bottle of Blanton's bourbon and Germain Robin Anno Domini brandy. The former is very good; the latter is the best spirit I've ever tasted.
I don't have a camera but my room looks like a prison cell with a computer
Hoping to replace my razer headset this christmas with something a little less retarded, but it gets the job done for now
>>51593706
>Germain Robin Anno Domini brandy
>350~450$ per bottle
I think i'll just stick to the aged Dagestani cognac my cousins husband tends to gift us on a regular basis.
>>51593820
I've tried that headset from a buddy, and boy does it sound shitty. Even the old HD201's i had lying around felt a lot less muffled.
Build quality is alright though.

No ikea near me unfortunately and paying their shipping is rape. I want to get some bookshelves and stuff from them but that cost. Considering the cost of the HM table though maybe it would equal out with shipping...
>>51588715
I can understand a full desk of real wood with cabinets and shit being 500-1000+ but why the fuck is a simple table with adjustable lift that expensive. If I wanted I could probably take the time and effort to make one for around 200 in materials. Effort though.
Is a decent desk so much to ask for? Multiple monitors doesn't help either.

I WANT A NORSK DATA MONOCHROME MONITOR SO BAD
>>51593858
>350~450$ per bottle
The only reason it's that low ($350 as low! hah) is because brandy never got popular like whiskey did, and it's a California brandy as opposed to something made in cognac where they can get away with charging a ton for the cachet. The Anno Domini has pretty regularly beaten things like Louis XIII ($1200-1500/bottle) in tastings.
Anyways, it's still about 8 times the price of the stuff I usually drink, so I end up saving it for special occasions. Since they don't make it any more, I figured it was worth getting a bottle while I could.
But I'm getting pretty far afield from /g/ topics now.
>tfw poor
I'm getting a pok3r soon though. Should be nice.
>>51593858
I don't mind the sound quality too much but it is a bit bassy and gets muddy as fuck sometimes.
>>51594076
I was giving the prices that first came up online, weren't quite sure if they were correct.
>>51594079
You could at least take a proper fucking picture.
>>51594149
I don't have a normal camera, and my phone is shite
>>51594230
It's not so hard to deduct that you're not using some 10 year old Nokia.
Some proper lighting and we might be able to see something.

>>51594674
Took it in Japan and had it printed by some shitty online service.
>>51594761
Thanks. I made it myself.
Alright /bst/ I'm getting a new monitor in a few days and want to mount my current one in a portrait configuration next to it. It has holes for a VESA mount but fuck buying one of those, I just blew a ridiculous amount of money on the new monitor.
Do any of you have pics/ideas of a cheap way to jerryrig a monitor into portrait mode?
>>51595513
Two pieces of wood screwed together to make a stand and some very well placed bolts to hold it in place.
>>51595513
A bracket and a piece of wood ought to do the trick.
>having to niggerrig your monitors
Sounds like somebody didn't get a monitor with a decent stand in the first place.
Dell know what's up when they design stands.
>>51590173
Is that a calendar in the back? Where can i get one myself.
>>51595567
Yeah I've seen a few designs like that, seems like the best option but I just moved out and have no power tools, or tools at all really. It's probably time I just buckled down and got some anyway.
>>51595587
The new monitor has a decent stand, the one I'm using now while I'm waiting for it is some shitty Asus I bought 4 years ago when I was going to college and had 0 money. I have 2 small Dells also and agree their stands are great, but the Asus is the only one big enough to bother keeping in use after the new one comes.
I'll probably just nigrig something out of cardboard for now lel, at least until I buy some tools. I'm practically drowning in that shit anyway.
>>51595664
Yahoo auctions in Japan might have the Kantoku Calendar for 2015.
I just got notified by email that Kantoku's 2016 calendar will ship to me next week.
I got mine from here:
http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10348234
Maybe you can get it cheaper from somewhere else, I don't know.
>>51595666
>>51595567
>Power tools
Well, if you can find a premade piece of wood that can be used as a stand, you just need the bolts to hold it place. But a simple screwing machine (If i'm even refering to it properly, since english isn't my native language) is a necessary household item.
I should have a decent bad 9 year old Asus monitor lying around, once i get enough space to make that mount i might do a small tutorial on how to nigger rig it.
>>51594012
>tfw I have one and it's blown the fuck out
;_;
>>51595722
Wonderful. It's really pretty and I've needed something to go on my walls.
>>51590548
phew... cant control my boner with that lil setup.
>>51595887
If the 2016 is anything like the ones from 2014 an 2015, I think it's a pretty safe shot.
I'd probably buy way too much printed goods if I lived in Japan since local shipping is cheap, just like most of the items.
Shipping really kills a lot of my purchase desires.

I hope you show us that dragon dildo in your pooper

So being rich qualifies as owning a gookpad, a meme chair, placebophones, a shitty small desk, and cheap pseudo hardwood floors?
Tip top kek.
Next time, if you spend less on your Shitheisers you can maybe afford a desk that isn't for midgets
why don't my twin sons, tyrone and jaden, look anything like me? who's this black guy who's always round to fix the TV? the TV is fine...

>>51598308
>What speakers are those?
Sony SS-CCP1
>How do they perform?
They're decent but nothing to write home about. Came as a part of a boxed system in the mid/late 90s, higher mid-end, they perform accordingly. I'm not much of an audiophile so I've never bothered to get anything else, have served me well since I got them in 98. They're quite durable though, obviously.
>do you intend on painting it?
No, I made it out of chavant clay, which can't be kilned (heat melts it, in fact that's how you sculpt with it, by heating it and molding it into shape) so it can't be painted.
