hey /g/ents
What is the name for those LED things you see i in bst threads attached to walls and desks etc the long thin LED trails?
Are they powered by a usb cable? whats the best way to stick them to things so they stay where you put them?

ah thats it thanks!

also is there a way to cut it if i have too much does that wreck the rest of it?

they come in long strips which can be broken apart into their separate "modules" (probably needs some soldering though, haven't worked with them myself)
power supply from USB might be possible, but if they get longer you might want to consider external power

should have some basic explanation and schematics you can use

they can't be powered over USB, as they work at 12V (yellow line from PSU)
