I laughed at that anti static strap.
I've built like 10 PCs over the year and thumbled around in cases countless times without bothering to ground myself in any way. Yet I never had a single component die on me apart from HDDs and a PSU, but neither had shit all to do with grounding.
Also especially on your budget you should have gone for a used GPU. I don't get why people on a budget don't do it.

Yes and what I'm saying is that even touching case (which you will do anyway to seat components) is already tinfoil-hat cautious. PC components aren't trying to disintegrate the moment you look at them the wrong way.
The exception is just to use common sense that you ground yourself if you have some kind of carpet or something anywhere where you are constantly getting electric shocks when you touch doorhandles. But in that case you should throw away that carpet anyway.

Get a pirated windows 7 and upgrade to windows 10.
But I wouldn't be surprised if Microsoft pulls the plug some day on those shady licensed Windows 10s. Then again maybe Linux can into games by the time that happens.
Other idea would be to ask a university student for his Windows 8 key off Dreamspark, since nobody uses that anyway and upgrade that to 10.
I think paying for the OS isn't a terrible idea, on a budget I wouldn't do it though.
