Anybody know how I can get the vista taskbar on Windows 7? I remember on XP I used the BricoPack installer and it installed the Vista taskbar + VistaOrb to get the actual 3D orb. But I'm worried about malware from that stuff now, I was stupid back when I did it on XP.

I actually just did that but it also changes the style of Explorer which I don't want. I just want the taskbar itself. I'm not sure how to accomplish this, as I've never edited an msstyle.

TenFourFox is too slow in my experience (possibly because I haven't got a system with full Core Image support), Camino works fine for 4chan, TenFourKit/Safari for some other sites, TenFourFox for compatibility.

I'm just talking about the aesthetic, it's maybe a little nicer than most wms but it's still kind of lame, especially with the bipolarisms of the windows and that general cheap gradient washed look that tries to copy OS X but comes up short. Wouldn't really put it on the level of Windows 2000, CDE or BeOS.

>>51574606
same, I think I'm a little overly optimistic but I would really be interested in seeing "modern" usability features added to it like easier customization/theming. I think I learned a decent bit fucking around with its many poorly documented configuration files but it would be damn nice to see more support for front panel configuration and PNG wallpapers/icons among other things, as well as third-party widget support and shit like window snapping (trying to configure my windows where they don't trigger autism by overlapping the front panel is a bitch)

El Crap is terrible though, probably the worst OS X ever made stability wise besides OS X 10.0. I have never seen an OS, including Windows and Linux, with more bugs, specially graphical glitches. No day passes without some built-in app crashing or failing, including Safari, Finder, or even the fucking Dock.
