Yeah, pretty much. I run Linux on my laptop and server, but my desktop PC is on Windows because I use it to play video games every now and then.
I'll probably switch to Linux on my desktop PC eventually, but as of right now I don't have a second GPU to give to a VM, so it'll be a while before I do that.

Games and convenience of knowing 95% of good programs written work natively on my system and will easily install. Also lots of deserved stigma associated with other OS systems such as arrogance or trying too hard to be different.
I like having my OS made in one consistent fashion rather than having to download a bunch of amateur programmers' side-projects for essential features that comes stock on a proper desktop OS.
I'm not, I use arch linux and enjoy photoshop, illustrator and indesign.

There's a few reasons it happened.
Majority think they're leet haxors that don't have time for manchild games, they're busy trying to use aircrack on Kali to get the 70 year old grandmother next doors WEP wifi key. They come from /v/
The others pretend they hate video games because they're so deep into using linux and so desperate to look cool on desktop threads and other generals, they tell themselves they don't miss it.
The rest of them literally just don't enjoy them and don't see the relevance in making a choice of OS, like me. It's just a non issue.

There is nothing to miss. Many games on steam work on linux, wine works 75% of the time and if you are desperate you could always emulate whatever console you fancy.

For you. I mean I agree, any games I want to play are available. But a lot of people play stuff like CoD, battlefield and others which can't be played without a modern version of directX.
Wine is serously overrated for modern games, it literally cannot perform to standard with any current competetive FPS, MMO or even RTS.

Linux 95% of the time since I have to actually do work and it's faster and more reliable for listening to music, watching videos, etc.
Just use Windows for games as it is vastly inferior for literally everything else, and I wouldn't trust doing any internet browsing at all in it due to privacy

I use too much software that just won't work on Linux, even with WINE/playonlinux. I have decent hardware (GTX 970/4690k), but constantly running a VM is still too much overhead, and dual booting isn't worth it if I'm going to be switching back and forth constantly. I run Linux for my webserver though, no denying that it kills Windows in that aspect. I'll probably switch over on my desktop too eventually.

Word could maybe be replaced by libre office, I worked a few times with it when I had to work on Linux and it was kind of OK.
But Excel and PowerPoint have yet to be beaten in terms of usability and range of functions.

Shows how little you fucking know. Keita is excellent software but it doesn't do what Photoshop or Lightroom do. I went for years using Linux using the alternatives but eventually switched to OSX and later Windows when the SP3 was released. I don't give a fuck what OS I run as long as my professional software works.
