could we always have different overclocks for different games?
>>
>>51562376
Yeah it preforms a little better.
>>
>>51562861
nope
>>
>framerate control now goes up to 200

Driver is good, new interface is a bit clunky but so was the old one.

Can I at least use the Crimson UI without the new GCN only drivers if I have Terascale?
>>
>>51563372

nope
>>
I like it a lot, shame some options still use the catalyst interface.
>>
Features that are missing or inconvenient:
- Can't rotate display ( have to use windows display settings )
- Can't adjust resolution ( have to use windows display settings )
- Can't change refresh rate ( have to use windows display settings )
- Does not apply driver-set display color settings automatically at startup. You need to open the 'additional settings' on the display tab which opens the old-style CCC panel with the color controls
- Cannot control any of the above + 3D settings through rightclick menu on the systray icon.

I'm pretty sure these will end up being included eventually but it's a bit annoying for now. Other than that it's good and the driver seems to perform better
>>
>set the game specific settings
>can just launch the game right there
>>
>>51563660
display > additional settings

how did you even find your way here?
>>
>>51563246
I think their idea was to make features that have always been there more accessible.
>>
>>51563660
>>51563794
okay, i see what you mean
>rotate display
got me there
>resolution
it's there
>refresh rate
it's there
>color settings on startup
works on startup for me
>keeping icon in system tray
people do that?

>>51563246
it's snappy, like, right there and BAM. I had no problems navigating it

New interface is nice, beats the pants off of Nvidia's. I'm sure they'll do something like it soon, watch this space.

huh, okay, I'll believe it's not a troll
I have it installed on my other machine and like I said, I have all those options but rotation. the only difference I see is I'm using a vga port on it.
If anything though, they added custom resolution and timings to it
>>
So is it just new features and look for the setting manager or is performance actually better?
>>
>>51564195
Both.

Anyone else getting their OCD set off by the close button being smaller than the minimize/maximize buttons

What is this?

Performance is better. In some games it really improved for me, like fo4 and the witcher 3.

Does it have the AMD Shadowplay equivalent tied in?

I installed this and it's all localised for some reason. I have no idea what some of the options mean in my language.

negative

OBS replay buffer is better anyway

I'm just surprised no ones pissed off that this is like the 3rd crimson thread today.

but it is a genuine much needed improvement

I've always been prompted to install their "Gaming Evolved" program or whatever. Is it worth it? What does it even do?
>>
>>51564801
its a different name for raptr

dont bother with it
>>
>>51564801
Nope. It checks for new drivers, and has a "optimization" feature that sets the video options on all of your installed games. I think it also has a gameplay recording feature.
>>
>>51564801
spyware/botnet is what it do
>>

you need the raptr software for it. same as with geforce experience for shadowplay

i'd try to get it replaced
>>

the card performs fine

so im just gonna deal with it
>>
>>51564195
the shader cache really helps improve newer games, any game that heavily uses real-time shaders, and any game mods that use heavy shaders like ENB for skyrim/fallout. It doesn't effect FPS all that much, but what it does is make a file for precomputing the shader effects which then gets shoved into the GPU ram.
Witcher 3 saw some pretty hefty improvements to frame time response and reduced stuttering, for instance

On top of that they rolled the 15.11.1 beta improvements as a standard release
And they fixed >60hz idle clock rate!!!!!! My card sits at 300mhz/150mhz now instead of the video playback rate, awesome.
>>
I know at least 6 people who were having problems and all of they solved it uninstalling Assassin's Creed Syndicate and updating the system to fix some old libraries that Ubisoft broke.
>>
>>51564378
It'll use your gpu to scale the output to your monitor's native resolution instead of letting the monitor do it. Useful for shit monitors
